Be Gentle, It's My First

Lately, I find myself with a need to express long-winded thoughts and crazy dreams.

Facebook and other social media is just too personal; sometimes, you don't want people to know what you're thinking. Sometimes, even an uncontrollable dream becomes a point for your character to be judged on. And yet, you want someone to know what you're thinking. I suppose for some people, a therapist is the answer. Indeed, if I were in my home country, I would probably be seeing a psychologist for a host of reasons. But I'm in distant, unknown lands - no doubt part of the reason I'm feeling the need to write thoughts out.

Hence, 'Time Out' is born! Time out is normally a place you send children who have broken some rules. In time out, they are not allowed to play, or interact with anyone. It is a place where you are alone with your thoughts to reflect upon your actions and the consequences thereof. For most children, it is a frustrating (although relatively benign) punishment. For adults, I suspect, more time out is needed in day to day life. I can think of several people I know who would benefit from this activity.

I'll leave it there for my first post, while I draft something more for later. I saw this picture this morning, and it made me really want to brave the pollution and visit China. So here it is for you too.
